Best Spots Near Jahra

Jahra anglers mostly run north to the Subiya coast or east along Kuwait Bay. The shore marks below are the proven ones; start there, then explore.

• Khor Al-Sabiya and the Subiya flats — the headline spot. Strong tides, deep channels, and wide flats north of the bay hold zubaidi and sole in winter, with shaeri working the channel edges. Best fishing runs from about an hour before high water to an hour after.
• The head of Kuwait Bay near Jahra — shallow, muddy ground that only fishes properly when the tide is in. Mullet and sheem work the small creeks. Stay clear of the Jahra nature reserve boundary; the wetland there is protected.
• Doha and the north shore of Kuwait Bay — the nearest easy shore marks east of Jahra. Jetties and pilings hold mullet, sea catfish, and small shaeri. Evenings are the productive time.
